The deal

Blink is free and open source software, provided as-is. Use it, study it, build it yourself, share it. There is no contract to sign and no account to agree on your behalf.

Acceptable use

Don't use Blink to harm others. We can't see your messages, so enforcement lives with you and the law where you are — but the project does not condone abuse, harassment, or illegal activity.

No warranty

The software is provided without warranty of any kind. Cryptography reduces risk; it does not eliminate it. A compromised device, a weak passphrase, or a coerced unlock are outside what any messenger can defend.

License

Released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0). You may run, copy, study, modify and distribute it — but if you run a modified version as a network service, you must make your source available to its users. See the LICENSE file in the repository.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the contributors are not liable for damages arising from use of the software. You run it at your own discretion.

Donations

Donations are voluntary gifts to support development. They buy no warranty, support guarantee, or influence over the roadmap.
